radio silenceThe moon is so bright we cut  the high beams and the low beams.  This night deserves a silver soup spoon  stuffed between its inky teeth:  a bright and a black night  -it is thick, we swim as we sit  in my minivan, gliding along this  unfurled tar tongue. We watch  for foxes with four eyes.  
 
Rain punctures the fog, spits on my arm  
through the ribbon of open window.  
We hide white bones in slow gusts  
of wet air, fingers out to catch fleet moths  and leaves that drip the slick breaths  of deer from stick, cellulose beaks.  
 
We listen for the absence e radio silence

it's satisfying like throwing  
lye onto an antbed  
sates a violent urge.   
I still twist and I still wish,  and remember every girl

Each: star, baby tooth, apple pip,  plucked blue jay feather,  wholly rock, lone chimney,  sickle-shaped roadkill   
-none of them are saved,  all packed and released like vows.  Saying you'll wait is different  from a prom expiration dates

She begs her seat from a moth,  
continues on toadstool to swill pigment  behind her teeth, inky and blind.  
   She chooses the woven chair  while I slump into a cloth cocoon.  Night steeps the temperature  to a heavy ninety.  
We stick to our seats.  We are pupae emerging  into a swamp-swaddled womb.  
She gets dizzy as I swing.  
 
Witness her coax a sunflower:  seed to sapling to sudden bloom,  a reflection of her fivehanna

KH 358/2 DAYS SPOILERS

Don't read if you don't want to a) get my opinion or b) have scenes from the game spoiled for you.

Axel = Lea/Rea? Really? He used to have a girl's name? /shakes head/ Oh Squeanix.

Xion makes me really sad. Sad sad sad. She's so adorable and I kind of want to hate her because it's obvious that she gives everybody a ton of grief. It's not her fault though. She didn't ask to be created.

I think my favorite scene so far has been the one between Riku and Mickey. There's no dialogue, just Mickey walking through a beautifully rendered wooded area and coming upon what he thinks is Ansem. Then Ansem pulls out a blindfold, and voila. It's actually Riku. It's just a very telling scene.

Every fan has seen it. "No one would miss me," Roxas states flatly. "That's not true!" Axel then yells. As Roxas walks away, Axel lowers his hands and just murmurs, "I would." SO SAD. Their friendship is so adorable and perfect and the Organization gets in the way and messes everything up for them. It still makes me tear up. Bawwww. D:

Xion as Roxas = SCARY. I don't understand what her power is at this point, but I love it.

Wuh. BAW. Xion disappearing was sad and so beautiful.

Kingdom Hearts has a way of doing things now that really just rip up my heart. The Winning Stick is possibly the most moving cutscene since the first KH where Kairi and Sora can't quite reach each other. It feels like a really defining moment for Axel. I think this is where he decides whose side he is on and what he's going to do with his non-life.

Damn. I cannot WAIT to play this game. Hurry up and get here fast, September.

YOU GO TO WARREN WILSON COLLEGE SKDJASKDJALSKDJ?!! I went on a tour there, last year, and fell in looooove with it! The scenery, and the whole 'no frats, sororities, etc' thing, and their whole thing about wildlife and and and the environment and the scenery and /EXPLODES/ How is it there? Tell me everything! Are the people nice? Are you majoring in writing? @_@ /CLING/ Are there any Final Fantasy geeks? xD
